Alliance Française d' Islamabad introduces:

Certification
Alliance Franaise d'Islamabad is the exam centre for French-government accredited and internationally recognized tests and diplomas in Pakistan. The rating systems of these tests and diplomas are based on the global language scale of competencies designed by the European Council. They each assess the candidate's level in speaking, writing, listening and reading.
These certificate are helpful for pursuing further studies in French speaking countries, Candian immigration and for jobs.

DALF/DELF
The DELF (Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française) and the DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are official diplomas awarded by the French Ministry of Education to certify the competency of candidates from outside France in the French language.DELF/DALF sessions are held twice a year (generally in June and Novermber).The DELF and DALF are composed of 6 diplomas. examination of their choice, according to their

levels.At each level, 4 skills are evaluated: listening speaking, reading and writing. DELF & DALF diplomas are valid everywhere and for life.

Exam Description
here is little discription of the exams:
  • DELF A1: This level recognises basic knowledge. One can introduce himself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he lives, people he knows and things he has. He can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help. This level can normally be reached after 60 to 80 hours of learning French.

  • DELF A2: It recognises the linguistic competency of a basic user.The person can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. He can describe in simple terms aspects of his background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need. It is normally reached after 160 to 180 hours of learning French.


  • DELF B1: At this level, the candidate becomes independent. It corresponds to a total of 450 hours of learning French. He can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.


  • DELF B2: At this level, the candidate has a degree of fluency and spontaneity in regular interactions. He can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party and can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects.


  • DALF C1: At this level the candidate can express themselves fluently and spontaneously. He can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning and he can Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.


  • DALF C2: At this stage, candidates are capable of using the language for academic and advanced-level purposes.

TCF
The TCF (Test de connaissance du français) is the French test awarded by the Centre International d'Etudes Pédagogiques, official department of the French Ministry of Education. This test is intended for people who are not native French-speakers and who, for professional, personal or academic reasons, want to have their competency in French assessed and certified simply, reliably and quickly.

All candidates receive a certificate of results that positions them at one of the six levels (from A1 to C2) of the competency scale defined by the Council of Europe (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). This means that it is not possible to fail the TCF.
The TCF has three compulsory tests and two optional ones.
Compulsory tests: listening comprehension, language structures, reading comprehension (1.5 hours).
Optional tests: oral expression (15 minutes), written expression (2 hours).
Each candidate is provided with a certificate stating their test results within 2-3 weeks of the test date, and which is valid for 2 years.

TEF
The TEF (Test d'évaluation de français) is delivered by the Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de Paris (CCIP). This proficiency test allows you to certify your linguistic competencies in French. This test can be taken by anyone who is applying for further studies in Francaphone country or for Canadian Immigration. It is valid for a period of 1 year.
